The transformation of this home on the Big Hole River near Dillon Montana began with a vision to create a place that would provide a comfortable ‘western’ yet sophisticated setting for the owners’ large family to gather and enjoy its beautiful and relaxing setting. The existing ranch home was completely renovated inside and out with two new additions bringing the total area to 4,800 square feet. New patios and screened porches open the living spaces to the surrounding landscape while vast windows capture views of surrounding mountains and river valley.
A small guest cabin was also constructed to expand the ranch compound and provide accommodations for up to 20 people in both buildings. The stone cabin captures a uniquely rustic experience with its western finishes and reclaimed wood siding and beams. Large stone fireplaces and custom blacksmith work complement the mix of highly finished and rustic details to create a place that will be enjoyed by the entire family and guests.
